dailymem is a mindful lifestyle iOS application designed to help users capture and preserve meaningful moments of their everyday life through a simple, emotionally engaging journaling experience. The app sends a daily random notification prompting users to take a photo of the moment and a selfie, building a private timeline, maintaining streaks, and encouraging consistency. While inspired by the BeReal concept, dailymem is fully personal, subscription-based, and focused on self-reflection rather than social comparison.
Our team delivered the full iOS MVP end-to-end within two months, covering product clarification, UI/UX implementation, and technical development. We built the app using Firebase as a lightweight backend, enabling authentication, data storage, subscriptions, and analytics without overengineering. We also implemented in-app subscriptions with a free trial, push notifications logic, and a smooth onboarding flow tailored for first-time users. The result is a production-ready MVP that allowed the founder to launch quickly, validate the concept, and start monetizing from day one — without the complexity and cost of a custom backend team.
